If you're searching for a fresh approach to commemorating Memorial Day, consider incorporating activities that pay homage to our fallen heroes. You could visit a local veterans' memorial, organize a charitable event to support military families

or take part in a moment of silence to honor their memory. These meaningful gestures can help us honor the true spirit of this day while recognizing and appreciating the tremendous sacrifices made by those who served our nation.

How About a Great Local Event?

Join us this Memorial Day for a tour led by our local historian through Roseville Cemetery to learn about and honor our Roseville Veterans who have passed by sharing their stories. The tour will spotlight soldiers who died in the line of duty from WWI WWII Korea and Vietnam along with a few Civil War veterans.

Tour Dates:

Veterans Memorial Day Tour 1 - Saturday May 27th at 2pm

Veterans Memorial Day Tour 2 - Monday May 29th 2pm

This is a 60-90 minute tour throughout the cemetery and you will be walking in the grassy areas and over tombstones. The ground is uneven so wear good sensible walking shoes.

Can’t Make it? Consider participating in the National Moment of Remembrance!

Every Memorial Day, precisely at 3:00 p.m., a momentous tradition known as the National Moment of Remembrance unfolds across the United States. It is a solemn occasion where people nationwide pause, observe a moment of silence, and pay their respects to the courageous military members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

During this poignant moment, individuals are urged to delve into profound contemplation, recognizing the selflessness and valor exhibited by these fallen heroes. It is also an opportunity to express gratitude for their unwavering dedication and service. The National Moment of Remembrance endeavors to cultivate a spirit of unity and solidarity, transcending differences and enabling people from all walks of life to converge in honoring and remembering those who have fearlessly laid down their lives for the nation.

May your holiday weekend be filled with thoughtful reflection, safety, and enjoyable moments.
